Angry Time to toss q6600 :( ?

About last week, while viewing a television show via the Hulu Desktop app my desktop computer crashes! -- I try to power it on but I get nothing but BSODs. I then decided to install a fresh Windows 7 x64; problem is now i get random lockups. And *sometimes* 50/50 the pc completely fails to post/boot!

What I've done:
memtest86+ each stick 5+ passes (test #5) = 0 errors
RMA'd my 780i (already got new one, problem persists)

EDIT:
Forgot to mention that everything i running STOCK (has been for a few months now)

11/9 UPDATE:
Interestingly enough...
I swapped out my mushkin (2x 2gb set) for my older 2x 1gb crucial ballistix. With these i managed to boot into a live linux OS and run some cpu stress tests (Super PI - half a billion digits of pi), no lockups or anything! But i guess I got excited too soon; when reboot the system did the 'non-post' where monitor remains asleep but i hear the fans whirring inside. (When this happens if i push the power button, instantly turns off [as if you are in bios] rather than the 3 second hold to power off) <- i found this a big strange.

I dont know what the issue is
really clueless! i DONT want it to be my cpu either (((

Could it be my q6600 ?

If it is overclocked to 3.8, then yes probably. Try lowering your clock a bit, it obviously isn't stable at that clock speed. Absolutely no reason to throw it out though.

What about the hard drive? Have you tried scanning for any SMART data? HD dying is the first thing that came to my mind.

Try to re-seat the CMOS battery see if that works.

I'm going to have to go with the hard drive failing - If your CPU hasn't been feed excessive voltages and your memory is fine, yet you're getting BSODs and lockups at stock speeds even after a motherboard RMA, then the hard drive is most likely at fault.

It takes a LOT of abuse to do in a Q6600 so that would actually be the last thing I'd suspect

reply to everyone:

1) RMA my motherboard (cmos not an issue)
2) i tried 2 different video cards: 9800 & 8800
3) Ruled out HDD because I boot into a live linux os on both CD and USB. Lockups persisted there too!
