e8400
i just bought a e8400 throw it in my ga-p45-ud3p board and im o/c to 4.2ghz with 1.35v. and its stable how far should i go with this chip i dont want to burn it. is this normal for a e8400 eo? i had a e8400 only could go to 3.8 at 1.36v but it wasnt an eo.

Seams like you got a nice chip and maybe be able to hit 4.4 @ 1.362

You won't "burn" the chip. Just keep upping the FSB and VCore [slightly] to see how far it will go. Your computer will either boot or it won't.
I've booted my E8600 into Windows at 1.75v on air (just to get at validation at 4.86GHz).

this is crazy my e8600 i could oc it to 4.4ghz. ok im going for it. man i hope i dont kill this chip.
i knew i had a good chip when i installed it oc to 4 ghz like nothing. ok ill be back in a little

After you get over the 4.0 hump the chip needs larger amounts of voltage but 4.4 is in your future. GL!

 i got it to 4.3ghz with 1.35v my temps where up to 75c with intelburn test didnt use my vendeeta 2 cooler i use the little vendettanow i got to do something with this slow hdd. i miss my velociraptor
