Default i7 920 and Rampage II Extreme Overclock help/guide

Hello everyone I am new to the forum and new to overclocking. I am looking for some help as too where to start/begin with overclocking my specs are in my signature if you have any questions just post. My mother board is an Asus Rampage II extreme my cpu is the intel core i7 920 DO (SBLEJ) and my ram is the corsair dominator GT ddr3 1600mhz My Cpu cooler is the prolimatech megahalems and i am using a push pull system with two scythe fans. My ambient temp in my house is constantly 15C and i plan on doing lots and lots of gaming on my system.

I have read some guides on over clocking so I have some basic knowledge and I have built several computers and used the bios many times. Since I now have an elite system I hope to start Overlocking. I am looking for a guide or advice specifically on how to overclock this cpu and this mother board combo to atleast 4.0 ghz I would love for it to be higher though. I understand that all cpu's and hardware are different. All and any hlpe is great apreciated. If this post has already been addressed i apologize and if someone could please post a link to the correct the thread. thanks hope i can get some help here!

Greetings from Portugal-

Yeah that is the main guide I have been reading. I am really looking for people who have overclocked first hand on this board though and can offer up any first hand experience.

I should probably fix that, I am not at 4.0ghz yet It is what I would like to be projected at when I'm finished with over clocking. I will start over clocking probably next weekend after more research and I am waiting on some parts, I will post my voltages here. It is my first time so everything will be experimental but I have been reading up on a lot so I am confident things will go well.

I've been having problems OC'ing my chip but a very awesome user by the name of Chicken Inferno helped me stabilize my chip. He wrote a guide for me here http://www.overclock.net/7746043-post40.html.

You can check out a thread that I made to maybe get more familiar with the BIOS.

I was unstable at very high volts. But right now I'm running stable at 3.8 with .01volts below vid ( stock for 2.6ghz ). I'll try to get even lower.

Not sure if you have a CO or a DO but this guy has a CO and and I was going to try to follow his set up for a first try.

If I was having difficulty with that set up then I was going to try and do this set up. If everything was legit from this guy he ended up hitting 3.8 with a stock cooler. (crappy temps though)-what can you expect. Talk about getting a good one out of the batch.

Oh yeah Also the volts on the first video are a bit high, he had commented that he brought them down even lower to about 1.38. I will shoot for about 1.3. It will be my first time over clocking and until I put my system together and turn up the bios I don't really have a good enough understanding but we can get this worked out. I am sure between the two of us we will get it.
