Post Build Stage 1

I am gonna be building a conroe righ, eventually...... right now i only have about 250 quid(pounds) . So what should i get right now first of all ?
Suggestions please .

I am gonna be getting E6400 or E6600 or E6700 later on. Not very sure yet, as you can see which one i am going to get.

you should first get more money

then go for an e6600 if you have the cash IMO

I will get some money in about a month and a bit(when i am off to uni), so its not gonna be that long, but i want to start ordering around right now if possible.

Right, i am going to go for the E6600 very soon. Which mobo should i get with it ?

Asus or Gigabyte or some other company ? Suggestions and/or links will be very helpful , thanks.

I don't think you should start buying stuff till you have the whole amount of money. Since Core 2 has only just been released there is still a lot of price for the Processors to go down in, Also there will be more motherboards to chose from a couple of months down the track and memory will have gone down in price too. So I advise keep saving that green.

Thanks for the advice, i may not buy the stuff , , but, i need to have either a decent pc and a really good laptop(for which i am open to suggestions too ) within a month and a bit's time cause i am off to uni then.
