Default ordering conroe build items next week! need your opinions!

hey guys, thanks for looking. This rig will be mostly used for gaming and yes, I will do some overclocking!

Here's my conroe build! (all prices are in canadian dollars )
--------------------------------
CPU:

E6300

$219

MOBO (I will go crossfire or sli in the future when i have enough money):

Gigabyte GA-965P-DQ6

$259

or

ASUS P5W DH Deluxe

$259

RAM: already ordered this ram

http://www.tankguys.biz/ddr2-3338-p-1676.html

Harddrive:

WD WD2500KS 250GB 16MB SATA II

$97

DVD-writer:

Pioneer DVR-111-D

$42

Video Card:

ATI Rad. X1900XT 512MB PCI-E w/TV DVI-I Sapphire

PSU:
I already have this PSU...
Fortron Sparkle FSP/SPI ATX-400PN 400W

---------------------------------------------------

which mobo should i get? The asus or the gigabyte?

I am kind of worry about that the psu might not have enough juice for my build. But according to this psu calculator :
http://www.extreme.outervision.com/psucalculator.jsp
, the psu should be sufficient even if i overclock the e6300 to 3GHz! So is the psu calculator correct and will the sparkle be enough for my rig?

thanks for your help

if you are planning on going crossfire or SLI, definately go for the Asus, because the P965 Chipset on the DQ6 dosent support either. The P975x only supports crossfire, but only at 8x for each card. The DQ6 is a good overclocker, along with its cheaper version, the DS3, which i have, and with a NB fan and heatsinnk among other things, (6.99$)I was able to get my E6300 up to 3.5 Ghz. So for your situation, i would recommend the Asus, but I suggest shopping around some more so you can get exactly what you want. Hope that helps.

Also if you did get the Gigabyte mobo it would h8 your PSU...

I have heard lots of mentions that using Forton PSUs with DS3 DS4 or DQ6 has caused so many problems and some people cant even post with those PSUs.

So yeah new PSU...

Looks a nice build apart from, as people have mentioned above, the psu. Get a OCZ 600W thingy.

What is wrong with the fortron PSU with the gigabyte moboes? I have built a budget AMD computer for my sister about a month ago and it seems that the fortron sparkle PSU is fairly high quality except that the fan is a bit loud.

Can i you give me a link regarding the issue of gigabyte moboes not working with the fortron PSU?

Anyway, thanks for telling me about this.

FAQ

Written by Crazyjohn at XS... 2 people have been qutoed to have boot/post problems with Forton PSU.

You can always try since you already own one but if it does not work get a better PSU.

I would recommend 580w or more if at some stage your going to go SLI/Crossfire.
