Default Pentium 631 overclock
i need help overclocking this thing right now im at 3.83ghz and stock is 3.0ghz i want to go higher but i cant ive tried everything what am i doing wrong. Ive come to the conclusion its my memory its at 650 mhz any higher and it crashes stock is 533. im running at a 1020mhz fsb with a voltage of 1.3 and if i increase it no difference.

On that motherboard? You're looking at a maximum of 250fsb.

Want to hit 300? Then get a P5W DH Deluxe or P5B Deluxe.

On an nForce? you'll never be no where near that frequency.

Well according to you, you already have 3.83ghz....thats pretty good, I doubt you could get higher.

yep that wall does suck but im upgrading to a conroe this x-mas. I just wanted to try and reach 4ghz the only thing holding me back is this mobo. Its a really great mobo though im sad to let it go.

It must be the P5N mobo. These chips can make 5GHz on air in most cases. the 631 is AMAZING! Look at this thread at XS, this guy has a similar mobo (P5W) and CPU and is at 5.5GHz on air cooling.
EDIT: Do you happen to know the Spec#? Or stepping?

it is an amazing chip my idle temp right now is 31 with my zalman and this case has excellent airflow i just bought it and i love it i wish i could show some pictures of it but i need a new usb for my camera. Im working on the stepping info downloading cpu-z i reformated recently.
