I just installed my E6600 with Asus PB5 Deluxe and 2 gb of OCZ 1024MB PC6400 DDR2 800MHz Gold. My 3DMark6 was just over 8000 stock. It seems like it is running really slow.

Seems okay, maybe on the low spectrum, (seems like 9k is regular) try new drivers? Try other 3dmarks (05, 03) and compare with everyone else. Hopefully some 7950 guys will see this thread.

I've updated to the latest drivers and the latest bios, downloading 05 now to see where that brings me.

slow?i wouldnt say that,but with a E6600 you could be getting like 10k+ with a 7950GX2.....overclock it! :P
if overclocking doesnt help much, then the tradition of factory freaks continues!as you see, some chips perforom worse then others,of the same model :P maybe its a driver problem, try updating.if doenst help then you just got a screwy chip

I will overclock, but I wanted a good baseline at stock before I do. I don't want to add troubles if my stock wasnt right in the first place, then overclocking would just amplify the problem i think.

That score does seem awfully low :s
Did you do a fesh install of windows on your HDD, or did you just upgrade mobo/cpu/gfx and stick it all in there? It could be Chipset drivers, Grpahics drivers or maybe even dodgy hardware. What are you temps like? Also, please correct your system spec, P5B not pb5. And PC6400 tells us its DDR2 800, so the name of the RAM would be more helpful ![]()

okay corrected my mistakes
__________________![]() I did a new install on windows. After looking here http://www.overclock.net/benchmarkin...light=3dmark05 My scores don't seem so bad for stock. alot better than others on there, not as good as some but I haven't tweaked it yet.
