Default If I reformat do I loose my Intel overclock?

I have a virus and the only way to kill it is to reformat, but I don't want to loose my overclock. Does reformatting do that?

If you did your overclock in the BIOS then it won't change anything, but if you used a software to overclock (like Clockgen) then it will get erased.

I'm pretty sure it was bios as they used a guy whose job is to overclock, so I doubt he used a program...so I guess I'm safe!

If you are unsure about OCing (duh, ask us we'll help for free! ) write down the settings in your BIOS.

Kimon was correct though:
"If you did your overclock in the BIOS then it won't change anything, but if you used a software to overclock (like Clockgen) then it will get erased."

There's still a few of us here that can help you just in case your OC it's gone. I have a P5WD2-P as well and a Pentium D @ 4.51ghz, so go for it.
