I have everything that I am planning to buy now, but I am really impatience. Right now I only have enough money for a E6400 and a 8800GTS. I'm definitly gonig to get a GTS and I don't know If I should get the E6600 or the E6400. April is too long of a wait for a price drop and I do not have a job at the moment.
__________________If I get the E6400 and overclock it to 3.0 - 3.2Ghz with the GTS, I should be fine right? I'm not going to upgrade until like 2010. Would you recommend this?

Nothing wrong with a 6400 in my opinion, once overclocked it keeps up with the 6600 at the same frequency. The 6600 will get ahead in some apps due to it's larger L2 cache. But the 6400 is a great processor and is a fantastic companion to the GTS.

I don't leave a lot of programs running. I mostly play games like R6: Vegas, FEAr, Oblivion, CS:S. I should be fine right?

More than fine....the Core 2 Duo's are total beasts, and fantastic overclockers. Plus being Dual Core it doesn't matter if you have other things running. It won't slow it down...
