Well my friend is paying me $100 to get him a laptop that should play World of Warcraft and all other expansions with liquid smooth frames. He is a WoW addict and that is all he ever plans to play. So I'm planning to build a notebook from www.cyberpowerpc.com. I'm not to familiar with laptop parts, but I configured this.
Case: 15.4 inch 1280x800 Resolution Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo Mobile T5500 1.66GHz Memory: 2GB of Corsair RAM Motherboard: Intel 945PM Video Card: Mobile NVIDIA GeForce GO 7600 256MB PCI-E Video Harddrive: 80GB 7200RPM SATA That should be able to play World of Warcraft without ever dropping below 50 frames per second right even in huge raids right? Remember that is the only game that he plans on playing. P.S. Oh and would the X1600 Pro be the better GPU or should I stick with the 7600?

Should be able to. I don't know how well WoW plays on the 7600 mobile GPU's but it's beefy enough to play alot of games at medium.

Not high settings? It's only 1280x800 resolution.

Wow isn't that demanding so that should run it flawlessly. I ran it near max on a p4 2.6 1gig ddr pc3200 and a 5200fx.

Well you could, but with locations with heavy textures and a lot of vegetation may get him into the low 30's.

WoW's graphics suck, anyways. I'd be shocked if any PC couldn't play it over 60FPS, full settings.

Are there any sites that provide benchmarks for the mobility cards? I remember seeing a site that had a huge list of them......

Should play just fine on full setting at that res. The comp in my sig plays nearly full settings at 1600x1200. I only see less than 30fps about 10% of the time. At 1280 x 1024, they rarely ever dropped below 50. Which is plenty playable for WoW.

I'd go with the x1600 over the 7600 unless it's a 7600 GT.
