I have no idea if this is related to overclocking or not, but I never had this problem before. If I leave my pc running all day while I'm not home, when I get home, the clock will be about 5 hours off (set into future time), and I have to go in and reset it. Could this be because of overclocking, or maybe just a bad battery?

If it's always the same interval, you might have some software running that syncs your PC up to a server somewhere

Yah I'd check your timezones... thats what often caused me problems before. I bad battery wouldn't usually put your time ahead

Double click the time on the taskbar and navigate to the tab that says "Internet Time". Now uncheck the box that says "Automatically synchronize with an internet time server". Also you can choose to uncheck the automatic adjustment for daylight savings as it can be a problem to some people. The daylight savings option is under the tab called "Time Zone". I hope I helped you

Most likely it's a time/timezone error in Windows--if the CMOS battery is going bad/is bad, you'd only notice a time difference/offset when you turn the computer off and then on again. But if it's on, the CMOS is getting power from the mobo, so a battery problem wouldn't manifest with the computer on. An odd problem though.

Adjust Time & Date > Internet Time > Uncheck automatically sync time with net > Time Zone > Select yours > Date & Time > fix it, apply.
