Default Intel System Suggestions

Hey, I'm building a system for my friend because he thinks my computer is really fast (which is not far from the truth). I told him to get:

-Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Processor
-Intel Bad Axe 2 975X Motherboard
-2x1GB of G. Skill DDR2-800 HZ Ram
-PCP&C 750W Silencer Power Supply
-eVGA e-GeForce 8800GTX Graphics Card

He wants an 8800GTX SLi certified power supply because he wants to get SLi later on. He has a nice sound card (Creative X-Fi XtremeGamer), a good case (Antec P182), and a good CPU cooler (Thermalright Ultra-120). He also has a Dell 3007WFP Monitor and Logitech Z-5500's. He plays games like Commander & Conquer, Oblivion, and some Steam games. He is looking for a system that can play DirectX 10 games without a problem. (Since he's running off a 30" Display he would not need AA/AF so even 2x would keeping things looking amazing.)

I will not overclocking like crazy, maybe a decent Graphics Card overclock to make it equal to the AS3 KO version. I will also be running everything in a 1:1 - DDR2-800 / 400FSB. He will be running of Windows Vista: Ultimate, so I might upgrade to 4GB of Ram and then later on I will be dropping in another GTX for him. (SLi would make more sense, because his native resolution is so high, rather than getting a newer card.)

If he wants SLI, why would you tell him to get a badaxe? The obvious choice will be a mobo with an nForce chipset.

Can't you run SLi off any two PCI-Express 16x Slot now? If not, I'll swap that out with an Asus P5N32-E nForce 680i Motherboard.

No you can't unfortunately.

nVidia doesn't have the drivers for SLI in any of Intel's chipset and there are no new hack drivers that would be compatible with G80s.

So, nForce chipset it is.
