Default $1,500 Budget limit, please help.

Hey guys, i'm trying to build my first computer for summer, and my budget is exactly $1,500 no more no less. I've been trying set up some build at Newegg but the tax and shipping always go beyond my limit. So my limit is should be around $1,300 to be exact, because it cost about 120 buck tax and 40-50 bucks for shipping.

So I need your help finding good build for me and it could be at multiple edealer. But I'd like it to be newegg and zipzoomply if possible. Thanks guys.
-------------------------------------
What I'm looking for is a INTEL/Nvidia build, and it is use for hardcore gaming. I don't have anything at all, so it'll be starting from scratch. if you can, please keep the PSU, and Case some where below 100 bucks or so. I dont have an LCD either, and looking for a good/bang for the buck 19" or so monitor. that's about it, please give me your input in other products, thank you very much.

Oh, for help with shipping and tax charge, my ZIP code is 90247.

Also, i understand the Q6600 price will be drop, so is getting a E4300 right now and wait for the Quad to drop a good idea?

Asus 650i Plus board.
Crucial DDR2-800 2gb. Overclocks to 1,000mhz easy.
Seagate perp recording. AMAZING drive.
8800GTX. eVGA because they allow after market cooling.
OCZ 600watt gamereextreme PSU.
e4300. Will OC to 3.0 easy.
19 inch monitor. It is decent with a 700:1 contrast ratio and 5ms response times.
Antec 900.

You can save a lot of money from my build by dropping the antec 900 and going for a 50 dollar case. But it looks to cool so you should get it

Your build is similar to mind when i try it, but that LCD have a low viewing angle and i dont like the antec 900, look weird to me. i think i might consider the rest.

But one question, if you dont plan to go Sli, would getting a sli mobo good for you? i like the layout of the P5N mobo, look nice.

Btw, when i add the shipping and tax charge to California, the total when above $1,650. i can only afford $1,500

Well I would drop the antec and go for a 50 dollar case which would save you 80 bucks. Also what monitor do you have now? Your current CRT may be better than a cheap LCD. I chose the 650i board because I heard it OCs well and the fact that it has SLI is a plus. But the DS3 is a great board but I forget which is the nice revision. Perhaps revision 3?

I don't have any desktop equipment. my currently computer is a Laptop.

@J3r3my - i don't need any OS, becuase i have a XP Professional. btw, that PSU, isn't that too much power? and i would save money and get a 19" LCD and spend the rest on a 640mb GTS.

Find a site with similar priced products where you don't have to pay tax. Maybe buy.com ebay or zipzoomfly?

zipzoomfly and buy.com both have buildings in Cali so so tax still applies.

That is an excellent build, exactly what I would have chosen.
