Call me crazy but I thought the concept of folding @ home came about because of idle cpu power in home offices? I didn't think anyone would build a dedicated folding machine, retire one for folding sure, but build? What's the point?

by the way to those who say a ps3 gets more pints than a wuad... you are just plain wrong. a dedicated OC'd quad can easily get 4,000 ppd. a ps3 get about a third of that

Not to mention a PC is much more versatile in the work it can do. The PS3 has to be babied and is given special types of WU and they are smaller. PC > PS3 sorry, don't make me tell KniteLife you guys are dissing quads and promoting PS3.

About the build, you don't need a hard drive? Just going to like run linux off the flash drive? That's using you're noodle, saved some money there.

IMO why do u even need a case? Put it on a piece of cardboard with antistatic wrap lol.

put it a video card in it and you have a decent gamer. but for under $450 folding with a quad is a very good deal in my book
