Default Help! Advise Needed. Quad Core System.

CASE: Hot !!! Apevia X-Telstar Aluminum Full Tower w/ Temp Display and Fan Control (Black Color) * Note - Let me know what size power supply would be best for this setup. I don't know what is right and what is overkill. 500W, 600W, 700W? I don't want an ugly one either. It's a Blue LED system*

Power Supply: (Someone suggested 650Watt Topower/Epower ZUMAX ZU-650W X3 650W 20/24pin ATX V2.0)

CPU: (Quad-Core) Intel® Core™ 2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.4GHz 1066FSB 8MB L2 Cache 64-bit

Cooling Fan: Need advise here. Also if I need more fans* (Someone suggested Zalman CNPS9700 NT CPU Cooler)

MOTHERBOARD: (Quad-Core FSB1333) Asus P5N-E nForce 650i SLI Chipset LGA775 FSB1333 DDR2 Mainboard. *Note - Feel free to suggest better motherboards*

MEMORY: OCZ Platinum 4096MB PC6400 DDR2 800MHz Memory (2x2048MB)

VIDEO CARD: EVGA nVidia GeForce 8800 GTS / 640MB GDDR3 / SLI Ready / PCI Express / Dual DVI / HDTV / HDCP Enabled / Video Card

VIDEO CARD 2: NONE
LCD Monitor: NONE

HARD DRIVE: Single Hard Drive (150GB Gaming Western Digital Rapter 10, 000RPM SATA150 16MB Cache WD1500ADFD)

Data Hard Drive: 1TB (500GBx2) SATA-II 3.0Gb/s 16MB Cache 7200RPM Hard Drive Western Digital.

Optical Drive: Sony DRU-830A Retail DVD Burner Lightscribe - 18x DVD±R Burn, 16x DVD±R Read, 8x DVD+RW, 6x DVD-RW, 8x DVD±R DL, 12x DVD-RAM, 48x32x CD-R/RW, Internal, Black Face plates

Optical Drive 2: Sony DRU-830A Retail DVD Burner Lightscribe - 18x DVD±R Burn, 16x DVD±R Read, 8x DVD+RW, 6x DVD-RW, 8x DVD±R DL, 12x DVD-RAM, 48x32x CD-R/RW, Internal, Black- Face plates

SOUND: Creative Labs X-Fi XtremeGamer 24-BIT PCI Sound Card

Temperature Monitor: VL System M-Play Blast - 5.25" Black w/ Blue VFD

All-In-One Reader: Ultra MD2 5.25" Media Dashboard w/4 Port & USB 2.0, Firewire, Audio & 22-in-1 Flash Card Reader. Black

OS: XP Pro SP2 32Bit and Vista Ultimate. Dual boot. I connect to the internet via DSL. So I need a Ethernet card.

*Note - If there is anything I left out, please let me know. Please feel free to give me your opinion on any parts. I'm also going to be hooking up two 22" monitors to this. I don't have them yet. I'll be buying them once I buy my PC. I'm not a big gamer. I'm into graphics art, animation, web design and video.I will not be overclocking this system.

I wont be building this myself. Professional will. I was quoted $2500. Minus monitors.

Thanks

I'm sure you could save a lot of money if you got rid of some of the pointless components you listed. Also try building it yourself, it's not that hard. I would try to help you out but I don't really have the time, that's quite the list. Seems like money isn't an issue either. Good luck!

If I could build it myself, I would. It doesn't look hard. It would save me money. But I don't have the use of my hands. So that's out the window.

Which pointless components?

Money is always an issue. Every $ you save, you can put towards something else.

Thanks for your input.

I don't want to seem rude, but how will you use it if you can't use your hands? How much are you being charged for this build?

You're not being rude dude. It's okay to ask questions. It's how you learn, right?

I broke my neck racing BMX bicycles. I use my knuckles to type. (doing it now) Sounds a little monkey-ish. LOL. Also, there are voice recognition programs out there. You speak and it types for you.

I didn't even ask how much the build charge was. Duh on my part.

Alright man, let's break this down since I don't see anyone else jumping in here.
You're trying to build an awesome Quad machine so we will start at number 1 on your list. Keep in mind that these are just my opinions, but I have done research myself when I started building my Quad rig.
Get a Thermaltake Armor Fullsize, you will never regret it. More than enough room and you can purchase an optional side panel with a HUGE fan, plus it has BTX support if you ever go down that road.
#2. Get something from PC Power and Cooling or OCZ at least 700watt.
#3. Perfect CPU choice, try to get the slacr version with G0 stepping.
#4. Can't go wrong with the Tuniq Tower 120 for cooling.
#5. I would avoid the Asus boards for the Quad, haven't heard many good things, mine can barely get 3.3. Get an EVGA A1, these are working wonders with the Quad!

#6. Memory is good, or G.Skill
#7. Videocard is good, or GTX
#8. Just get 2 500 gig drives and Raid0 them for better performance.
#9. Just get 1 DVD drive, or 2 if you feel it's important
#10. Good Soundcard
#11. Temp monitor, there are many programs you can download for free that can do this.
#12. All in one, another not really needed thing, but that's up to you.
#13. OS, stick with XP for now, it's solid
Well, this will be a nice rig, seems awfully familiar!

Why GTX? It's $150. If I were a gamer, I would. I wish I could game. The games looks so sweet.
