Right off the bat I see 3 gigs. Go for even numbers! Preferably 2 unless you are going to use a 64 bit OS.

Like I said last time about the cooler. And Yes, go with an Even number of gigs for ram. Either 2GB for 32-Bit OS or 4GB if you have a 64-Bit OS. That Case is a great choice.

Everything seems fine to me, dunno much about that mobo though, never had an Abit.

What size display do you have? the 640mb is really only going to increase performance if your screen is 1680x1050 or larger...

Yep. So, In all understanding, aslong as I'm not incompetent, or the parts arn't DoA, I should be able to put this together easily?

I'm also doing my first build this weekend.

Good luck!

And yeah it's a bit tricky waiting on good deals and dealing with rebates and DOA's.

YES! its pretty easy I put together my first rig last year and it went well.
If you have problems just ask here. also have a camera handy if the guys cant understand you

The only thing i would change w/ your parts is the PSU and the cooler.
get a Thermalright 120 extreme and a PC power and cooling 750w silencer

The jab-tech link is a pretty good store. ordered a couple of parts there before and it got here quick and NO TAX. The psu is like the rolce royce of PSU. very good build quality and that model is very quiet

Good luck on the build!!!!
