Default Would you pay $100 for someone to build you a computer?

Just a quick survey.

For a $100 fee, you receive the following services from a good builder who's built and OCed at least 10 rigs:
Assume the deal is local, so no shipping, and you provide the parts obviously, the builder will:

- Assemble the machine
- Do good cable management, so there's nothing blocking airflow or looking ugly
- Install Windows XP
- Do all of the windows updates, etc, to bring windows up to SP2, etc.
- Install all your drivers needed
- Do a decent overclock (NOT the best overclock, it takes too long to do trial and error to find the best stable overclock). For example, on a Q6600 they'd do a 3 Ghz OC for you.

Of course, Installing Windows XP can be replaced w/ whatever OS you want, I'm just using the most common one as an example, and finding this kind of quality service for $100 is going to be pretty damn hard to do!

Also, for the purposes of this poll, I'm going to be including some demographics, since they'll heavily influence what people will be willing to do (someone w/ no job and plenty of time on their hands isn't gonna pay a dime to have their computer assembled for them)

Overclocking other people's computers never ends well.

Well we're talking very conservative overclocks here. Nothing more then like 25% (unless you have like one of those E2xxx chips, then you need more)

well no, because then once they learn that overclocking their computers will void the warranty with the manufacturer, it makes a big no-no. No matter how much you explain to them that the company will never find out, it still worries them, and they will bug you a whole lot if anything goes wrong. " *cry cry cry*, the computer doesnt do this properly, probably because you overclocked it!! "

100 aint bad really to put a entire pc together and install the os that stuff is time consuming it could cost more then that in labor at a computer shop most charge 20-25 a hr. Id add in a backup image of all their stuff working perfect with a simple way to restore it if they kill windows.

I'm asking if YOU PERSONALLY would pay for this service. You'd OC your own machine anyway, so I'm sure you won't be crying about a voided warranty. Of course, if you don't want the OC Service, it won't be provided.

I'd personally pay 100 bucks just for the build, cable management, and windows install / updates. From start to finish it probably took me like 4 - 5 hours, and that's w/o doing any cable management (I just left wires hanging everywhere)

i wouldn't pay for it personally, but only because i enjoy doing all that stuff.

i can see a market for it, though.

also, perfect thread because it shows up on the main page as:
Would you pay $100 for someone to...

that'll get some clicks.
