Default What for $39.02?

I'm already planning on buying a dvi to hdmi cable from newegg, but for the other $39.02 on this gift card, I want to know what I ought to buy. I was thinking a SATA DVD burner, since what I have currently is an ide one, which I think blocks a bit of airflow.

Also, is the crucial ballistix tracer the same as the regular ballistix? Just with a different heatsink and led's?

Yea, that sounds like a good idea. I currently have this one and it works great. I have not had a chance yet to use the lightscribe feature of it yet.

Well, if you need three gigs of ram then go with it.

I hate how the posts get all flipped around. If you say no, i'll just go with that lightscribe burner you showed me, but I also run windows vista on my other hard drive, so...

I can't really tell, because I rarely use vista, but I also rarely burn dvd's, so I can't decide between the two. That 2 gigs may be strained even in XP though soon, because of all of those games and such that suck up the ram.

3Gigs of RAM is slilly because unless you run 2 x 1GB and 2 x 512MB, you loose the dual channel.

Get a nice SATA DVD Burner and buy some flashing lights.

Put it towards a sound card / speakers. Why spend it right away?

I never use sound, and when I do, what I have is plenty good enough. So it's a no to the sound card/speakers. I probably shouldn't spend it right away, but the dvd burner and dvi-hdmi cable are both things that I actually need. I took my parents burner out of their computer when mine got fried, and never gave it back, sooner or later they'll realize that they don't have a dvd burner, so it's really a winning situation for me if I buy the burner. I need the dvi to hdmi cable because not only am I tired of running on VGA cables, i've been having trouble keeping my vga cable plugged in properly in the back of my monitor, so i'm going to order the burner and hdmi cable. Rep+ to all
