one continuous beep every 5 seconds
my older P4 rig just started beeping one beep every 5 seconds while I was running orthos something I have done before, with out problems. last I saw the temps were good, temps were around 50c
I hit reset booted in safe mode all seems alright restarted again and and when booted normally every time windows explorer crashes, it has vista on it any ideas why this happened?

When windows crashes, do you get a BSOD or what actually happens?

no blue screen
I have my monitor turn of after 20 minutes and it would not turn back on when it the motherboard was beeping but after resetting it came right on and when windows explorer crashes it just pops up a window asking to restart the program. wall_socket thats what i am wondering for my gigabye board on my newer pc that beep code is a power problem but for the older asrock board with the P4 i cant find the book to see what the code means for that board.

solved the problem
a bad stick of ram I still will be in the market for a new PSU to the one is there is a Epower 500w thats 3 years old
