I had a lot of free time to research some numbers for members who all ask:
What voltage is the max on my cpu? What temp should I be looking for? I went to www.intel.com and found some numbers that seem to be in the range of what has been asked for. I will only put thermal spec. and volts to shave some time. All info came from Intel. C2Extreme Thermal spec. Volts QX 9775 SLANT 63*C 1.212v QX 9770 SLAWM 55.5*C 0.85v-1.3625v QX 6850 SLAFN 64.5*C 0.85v-1.5v QX 9650 SLAN3 64.5*C 0.85v-1.3625v QX 6800 SL9UK 54.8*C 0.85v-1.5v X 6800 SL9S5 60.4*C 0.85v-1.5v QX 6800 SLACP 64.5*C 0.85v-1.5v QX 6700 SL9UL 65.0*C 0.85v-1.5v C2Quad Q 9550 SLAWQ 71.4*C 0.85v-1.3625v Q 6700 SLACQ 71.0*C 0.85v-1.5v Q 9450 SLAWR 71.4*C 0.85v-1.3625v Q 9300 SLAWE 71.4*C 0.85v-1.3625v Q 6600 SL9UM 62.2*C 0.85v-1.5v Q 6600 SLACR 71.0*C 0.85v-1.5v C2D E 8500 SLAPK 72.4*C 0.85v-1.3625v E 6850 SLA9U 72.0*C 0.85v-1.5v E 8400 SLAPL 72.4*C 0.85v-1.3625v E 6750 SLA9V 72.0*C 0.85v-1.5v E 6700 SL9S7 60.1*C 0.85v-1.5v E 6700 SL9ZF 60.1*C 0.85v-1.5v E 8190 SLAQR 72.4*C 0.85v-1.3625v E 8200 SLAPP 72.4*C 0.85v-1.3625v E 4700 SLALT 73.3*C 1.162v-1.312v E 4600 SLA94 73.3*C 1.162v-1.312v E 6600 SL9ZL 60.1*C 0.85v-1.5v E 6600 SL9S8 60.1*C 0.85v-1.5v E 6550 SLA9X 72.0*C 0.85v-1.5v E 6540 SLAA5 72.0*C 0.85v-1.5v E 4500 SLA95 73.3*C 0.85v-1.5v E 6400 SL9S9 61.4*C 0.85v-1.5v E 6400 SL9T9 61.4*C 0.85v-1.5v E 6420 SLA4T 60.1*C 0.85v-1.5v E 4400 SLA98 73.3*C 0.85v-1.5v E 4400 SLA3F 61.4*C 0.85v-1.5v E 6320 SLA4U 60.1*C 0.85v-1.5v E 6300 SL9TA 61.4*C 0.85v-1.5v E 6300 SL9SA 61.4*C 0.85v-1.5v E 4300 SL9TB 61.4*C 0.85v-1.5v Pentium Extreme Edition PEE 965 SL9AN 68.6*C 1.3v PEE 955 SL8WM 68.6*C 1.200v-1.308v PEE 955 SL94N 68.6*C 1.25v-1.4v PEE 840 SL8FK 69.8*C 1.25v-1.388v Pentium Dual Core PDC E2220 SLA8W 73.3*C 0.85v-1.5v PDC E2200 SLA8X 73.3*C 1.162v-1.312v PDC E2180 SLA8Y 73.2*C 0.85v-1.5v PDC E2160 SLA3H 61.4*C 0.85v-1.5v PDC E2160 SLA8Z 73.2*C 0.85v-1.5v PDC E2140 SLA93 73.2*C 0.85v-1.5v PDC E2140 SLA3J 61.4*C 0.85v-1.5v Pentium D PD 960 SL9AP 68.6*C 1.3v PD 960 SL9K7 63.4*C 1.225v-1.312v PD 950 SL95V 63.4*C 1.225v-1.312v PD 950 SL94P 68.6*C 1.25v-1.4v PD 950 SL9K8 63.4*C 1.225v-1.312v PD 945 SL9QQ 63.4*C 1.225v-1.325v PD 945 SL9QB 63.4*C 1.225v-1.312v PD 940 SL95W 63.4*C 1.225v-1.312v PD 940 SL94Q 68.6*C 1.25v-1.4v PD 935 SL9QR 63.4*C 1.225v-1.325v PD 930 SL8WR 63.4*C 1.200v-1.308v PD 930 SL95X 63.4*C 1.225v-1.312v PD 930 SL94R 63.4*C 1.25v-1.4v PD 925 SL9D9 63.4*C 1.225v-1.325v PD 925 SL9KA 63.4*C 1.225v-1.312v PD 920 SL8WS 63.4*C 1.200v-1.308v PD 920 SL94S 63.4*C 1.25v-1.4v PD 915 SL9DA 63.4*C 1.225v-1.325v PD 915 SL9KB 63.4*C 1.225v-1.312v PD 840 SL8CM 69.8*C 1.25v-1.4v PD 840 SL88R 69.8*C 1.25v-1.4v PD 830 SL88S 69.8*C 1.25v-1.4v PD 830 SL8CN 69.8*C 1.25v-1.4v PD 820 SL88T 64.1*C 1.25v-1.4v PD 820 SL8CP 64.1*C 1.25v-1.4v PD 805 SL8ZH 64.1*C 1.25v-1.4v Other CPUs will be added as I find the numbers.

Yeah, the box of my e8400 says max 1.225... what that means is, "listen stupid, that's the most you'll need to run it at stock speed!"

lol the q6600 and q6700 are basically the same chip besides the multiplier its absurd to think theres a 9C difference in the max temp threshold. i just don't see it.

They are different steppings, thus different Thermal Specifications..

Thats because the Q6600 was released as a B3 core, and a G0 core. The Q6700 was only released as a G0 core. The B3 Q6600 (SL9UM) is 9°C off from both the G0 Q6600 and the Q6700.
