But I guess I will need to wait for a better generation of cards.

It requires two PCIe six pin power connectors, but other than that as long as the amperage is decent on your 12v rail(s) it should be ok.

I have a quad rail of 18Amp.
41Amps on total.

I think that my GTS is still good, might grab a HD4870 if it is not power hungry or get a 8800GTS 512 or 9800GTX... damn, it is hard...

Is this RAM that I am getting (arrives on Monday) good?

Will it give much more improvement over my PC5300??
