i would wait for the 4870x2 if i were you, its cheaper and 15% faster.
also, get the samsung 24" monitor for 400 if you have the money:

this is a much better DVD burner.. faster speeds overall, can burn DVD-RAM, has lightscribe... IMO DVD burner's are obv. not that important, but it's nice to have the best

I have that exact one and I like it a lot. Everything looks good, just make sure you start a Case Mod Work Log once you start modding it. Modding cases take a while to make it real good, so maybe you can just order the case now and the order the parts when the case is ready.

this may just be me, but i'd say with a $2500 budget why not keep that system as it is, and build a new one (which at the same time is better)

1) A good cpu cooler not too many people know about -> XIGMATEK HDT-S1283 | AKA OCZ Vendetta 2
2) The 8 PIN power connector on the MOBO is 2x 4pin power connectors combined in parallel to draw more power safely. 1x 4pin power plug will work, but you should think of an upgrade.
3) If you're running x64 OS and have more than 3GB ram installed but windows is only reporting around 3GB, Go into your bios and enable Memory remapping.
