okay with about 400 dollars give me

a cpu that OC's like mad and a mobo to help it get there. thinking Q66 with P41 by biostar what do you think?

Well whats this going to be used for? Gaming? no Quad for that.... no point in it. Duo 2 is what you need....if its for gaming. If its to do work , anything with databases etc then Quad would be way to go.


I guess your title does say PC gamer :P

sweet are there any other boards though i dont want to spend more than 200 on the board. what about the new biostar? how much is that i cant find it on newegg

Yeah. If you are not going to SLI/Crossfire you can get cheaper boards but it is hard to get a quality Overclocking SLI/Crossfire board for under $200.

Also, about the Biostar, I would not recommend them as they have awful customer support and the one board I got from them was terrible. But thats just opinion and I am sure others will disagree.

wow thanks kenny i dont plan on going SLi although wtih 88gt's so cheap i might as well i never knew the e72 were so damn cheap! but ill probably go with your build kenny with 2 more gb's of my mushkins.

Best overclocking boards out are intle x38 and p35 boards, not going to be under $200 if want the quality and FSB. Longevity is a major factor, don't waste your money
