Well yes, I've said like it a dozen times before... but W/E..

What tools should I buy, or search for to put My new rig together (everything is gonna be new, from motherboard to PSU)

Also any advice on this nooblet ( NEVER EVER had done this before), so I don't wanna mess $1k+ on electric components.

I read something about standoffs and people screwing them wrong, what is that?

Anyway, I'd really appreciate some help over here, since I'd really hate having to pay for something that I could learn to do myself (and hopefully do it right with some help )

Edit: If there's any illustrated guide (text is fine also), on the steps I should follow to put the components together it'd be nice.

Can't wait to hear from the possible saviors of my unborn rig's destruction.

As far as tools, all you need is a phillips screwdriver, maybe a regular one too. Most cases have the standoffs already installed (at least mine did).

As far as putting everything together, it's just a matter of bolting everything inside the case and hooking things up.

Wrist strap? It's pointless. Just touch something metal before you touch your components.

And as far as tools go:

A couple of different sized screw drivers
Your fingers
Common sense

There's anti-static wrist-bands...but those are for the paranoid.

As long as you're not wearing socks (or shoes if you're on carpet) while assembling your computer, you'll be fine. Always remember to touch ONLY THE EDGES of bare electronic components (mobos, GPU's, CPU's, RAM, etc).

A link or maybe a store that sells those screwdrivers plz?

It's just that I tried to open my laptop's RAM place (where the ram sticks are), and I tried with all the Screwdrivers I had, and couldn't get it open, so I supose the ones I have currently will also suck for my new PC.

Laptop screws are tiny. If you have a set of mid sized screwdrivers, you should be fine. You could drive down to home depot and buy one of the ones with multiple heads that you stick in. (Make sure it's NOT magnetic!)

You can find small pc repair tool kits, some even come with the anti static band.
They are sold at most pc shops i know tiger direct sells them, usually pretty cheap to.
