Post Help me pick cheap parts for htpc/fileserver/folding rig

ok so heres the deal.
my current pc is mostly for gaming and its going to be moved out of the room with my tv and home theater system.

so im going to build a fairly cheap pc to stick in the corner of that room so far i have :
--ATI 3870 (since its worth nothing any more. I sold 1 of mine to a friend for a 100 bux i may as well keep the 2nd considering i paid 250 each 6 months ago )
--7200.11 500gb hard drive

now comes the fun part
i need a quiet case with cheap but good enough power supply ( doesnt have to come with the case )
intel cpu ( cheap but decent )
motherboard ( leaning towards p35 chipset <3 intel, MUST have optical audio out )

this computer is going to be used basically as a htpc / file server / folding whore
i have multiple operating systems from MSDN server 2003, xp, xp 64, vista, server 2k, might even do linux to play around with when im bored.
i dont need a monitor as 99% of the time its going to sit in a corner doing nothing until i want to watch something ( hooked up to my 42in lg via HDMI )

i think that pretty much covers it, money isnt an issue but since its just going to sit and collect dust most of the time it might as well be cheap and consume as little power as possible.

thanks in advance for the help guys

Hey, I have a rig serving that exact same purpose, but a bit lower powered.

Here's what I came up with.

Case: Antec HTPC case + 380w Earthwatts PSU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811129034

CPU: E2180 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819116052

Motherboard: Gigabyte G31 mATX http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128078

Hopefully that's what you need

The GA-P31 doesn't have optical audio out, but the GA-P35 does. The processor and PSU seem fine though.
