Default Easy way to explain Core 2 Duo?

Hey im gonna be selling computers at JB Hi-Fi (Think they only in Aus).

Just wondering the easiest way to explain Core 2 Duo. Im not sure if this is accurate or what not but what I would say is:

Quote:
Its not having 2 single cores, so having a 2.2ghz core 2 duo doesnt equate to have 4.4ghz total. Its like having 1 core but it split up into 2 and handling different processes.
What do you think?

Thanks.

If you wanna explain dual core...
it does have 2 cores (from the name)
The easist way to explain is 2 hands are better than 1. With a dual core, you can run more apps, on games that like more hands, they benefit from the 2nd core.

The cores don't add up to each other (2.2ghz+2.2ghz) so you can expect double the performance from a single core.
