By the way, you're the dude who got me the Silverstone unit...via CD. He built this rig.

You need to click "start" then in search, type "services.msc"

scroll down to "Windows Search" and disable

I personally have it on, but it doesn't make any difference since my defragging tool automatically defrags files alphabetically, the same way indexing does.

When I typed in "services.msc" the only thing that came up was "services."

I did nothing. The red light finally stopped. But it'll start doing it again

The one you have is the one that I used very briefly.

The unit is awesome...so awesome it was too sophiscated for a cave-man like me that likes to look at pretty twinkling lights.

Sometimes I regret giving it up.

LOL. It's cool. However, I think it took a partial dump. CD hookd it up so I can use the remote to start my rig. Which I can still do. But the LCD doesn't light up any more. Stopped doing that 3 days ago.

No lights at all. The clock on it started to go ahead a lot (I didn't adjust it) and then about 4-5 days later, no lights. However, it still starts my rig up.
