I have no clue why but my red light just keeps going nuts. Like it's constantly working. I have nothing running right but IE

hi.Open your Task Manager and see what the CPU loads are, and inspect the running processes and applications to ensure that nothing fishy is going on.

Have you got Indexing service enabled? It searches through and indexes all the files to make searches quicker, which would thrash the hard drive...

do you mean hard drive activity light? I have read a few threads here on OCN where people were reporting crazy HD activity and if I remember right it was on vista. do a search of the forum and see if you find anything.

r-click the toolbar at the bottom of the screen, point to Task Manager (and click).
