Default Gameing PC Build, What do you think?

I am building a Gaming PC for my friend Matt. What do you guys think?

CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 $209.99
Motherboard: EVGA 750i $189.99
Video Card: BFG 9800 GTX $209.99
RAM: 2x 1 Gb OCZ Reaper HPC 4-4-4-15
$29.99
Power Supply:Silverstone ST75F 750 Watts modular $129.99
Case: Nemisis Elite Silver $108.99
Hard Drive: WD Caviar 500 GB 7200 RPM 16mb Cache $79.99
Monitor: Acer X193W+BD 19" 5ms 2000:1 $159.99
Disk Drive: Asus Black 18x DVD+R 2mg Cache Lightscribe $24.99

Why I chose the parts the did:

After talking to Matt, he really liked the idea of using SLi/Crossfire as a upgrade path and getting a second 9800 GTX in a few years when they are cheaper. That is why the power supply is a bit much.

I was considering the ATi 4850, but i couldn't find any crossfire chipsets that supported the Q6600 that i really liked. Any suggestions OCN?

Also, my friend did seem really gung-ho about blue-ray movies. Hence the normal DVD drive and modest hard drive.

Definetly get a 4870/4850 instead (along with a crossfire board), as for everything else it is pretty good except maybe the case.

You couldn't find any CrossFire chipsets you liked? X38? X48? They both support the Q6600 as well as Penryn processors.

Also, going 4GB with RAM will only cost maybe $40 more. I don't think doubling your RAM for less than double the cost of 2GB is a bad investment, though 2GB should be enough.

And yes, that case is hideous. I suggest the NZXT Tempest. It's around the same price and looks much, much better. It's essentially a cheaper Antec 900.

I'd get a Maximus Formula, and an 4870. The case IMHO, looks corny and ugly. I'd go with an Antec 900, or a Thermaltake Armor.
I'd also get 4GB of G.Skill PC-8500 @ 1066mhz, or more depending on the OC of the ram(or Unlinked-Linked) and pick up x64 Vista Ultimate.

As for the Case, the friend i am building it for absolutely loves the case. I tried convincing him to get a different one. But after a while i was like "oh well, it's your money".

I didn't realize that 2GB kit was only $30. The 4GB kit is $57 after MIR.

Remind your buddy exactly how ugly sin is and let him know that case is uglier. Perhaps showing him another case, like the NZXT Tempest, could persuade him. But if that's really what he wants ...
