Nvidia 6800GT, 256MB 400MHz

I want to upgrade to new system like this;
-Create a Gaming Rig (Vista Compatible)
-Price Range; $700-$1,000.
-Watercooling to ease overclocking/noise.
-Single graphics card (No SLI/Crossfire)
-I want to overclock the E8400 from 3GHz to 4GHz

So far I've decided on this;
CPU: E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz LGA 775 Processor $195
Motherboard: P5Q Deluxe $188
Video Card: MSI NX8800GT 512M OC GeForce 8800 GT 512MB $135
RAM: 4GB RAM (can't figure out what ram will work w/ a 4GHz overclock!)
Drives:
Might want a DVD R/W CD R/W drive.
Don't need a hard drive. (I have a extra SATA 250GB drive.)
Sound: Creative Audigy SE 7.1 Channels PCI - OEM $28
Case: NZXT Apollo Black Steel Chassis ATX Mid Tower $69.99

I'm also interested in using a H220 Kit in the future. But a Tuniq Tower for now sounds fine.

Note: I have updated the setup! I'm open to other suggestions. I'm not new to custom building a PC, but I am new to watercooling and overclocking, which is why I have been reading this forum over the past 2-3 weeks. Thanks for any help!
Like others suggested, ditch the Asus board for a Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS3L, nice performance to price ratio, OCs rather well too. Core 2 Duo E8400 looks good too.
This G.Skill 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2-1066 RAM set will be able to keep up rather well, keeping the multiplier at 9 on the CPU with it OCed at 4GHz, the RAM will still be faster than the CPU FSB, if you want a 1:1 ratio for CPU FSB and DRAM, lower the multiplier to 7.5-8 with a FSB of 533MHZ. 7.5 multiplier would allow for a 3.997GHz clock speed and 8 would allow for 4.264GHz clock speed.
I don't see a power supply listed, what kind of power supply are you going to be using?

EDIT: Here's the link to the RAM,http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231166

I see it this way, for a gaming rig you need a great VID card, not so much a great CPU. From this perspective I recommend this:
1. Motherboard ABIT IP35pro (not saying it's better, but I just now it's great) - 110$
2. CPU keep the prescott (free)
3. VID card Radeon 4850 200$
4. 4GB of ram (2x2gb kit) around 80$ depending on weather it's OCing ram or not
5. Sound card Asus Xonar DX - around 100$: solid value, great sound, not Creative

This goes to around 500$, leaves you room for the rest of things. Buy a good Tuniq 120 as CPU cooler and take it to 4GHz. The rig I proposed will leave in the dust the other while gaming is concerned. The VID card makes 80% of the hard work and the 4870 is 10x better the 6800 (no kidding).

Cheers and good luck with the new rig!
LOL @ keeping the Prescott.
Pentium 4's architecture way out-dated and the Pentium dual-cores are faster.

I highly recommend you get the Xigmatek HDT s1283. In my opinion the TRUE is not worth an extra $30 + fan...for a budget machine.

What resolution will you be gaming at? This will dictate which card to get.

I'll go ahead since it seems so popular, and thanks a alot for the overclocking info! I've been scouring the internet for information on voltages, ram timings, cpu, and fsb information

I have selected the 520W Corsair power supply.. mostly because I don't plan on having anything more than a aftermarket fan, 1-2 hard drives, 1 dvd burner, 1 graphics card, 1 sound card, and maybe a wireless N/G/B adapter. (Not enough to warrant needing a really high wattage power supply.)

Still reading over these, I'm not 100% sure I want a high ram video card, because my understanding is that video ram affects the addressable ram you have available on 32-bit Vista/XP. (Meaning, if I get the 4GB ram set, I'll get 3GB of detectable ram, as well as a reduction based on what ram my video card uses. I don't really want a SLI card due to how they use tons of power, and make alot of fan noise!)

For right now I plan on using an old Dell LCD 17 inch Monitor. Most games I play with at 1280×1024 / 1024x768 resolution.

As far as what I want to try out, I'd like to play Morrowind on my computer, I might consider at a later date, upgrading my monitor to a 20 inch, I know lcd gaming monitors can be pretty expensive. I looked at this LCD Monitor List. I like the L1960 19-inch monitor, at $223. The other option is AG Neovo H-W19 Black 19" 3ms(GTG) Widescreen LCD Monitor, at $210. I like how it has pretty fast response time, good reviews, decent price, and it has some basic speakers. (Although most of the time I use headsets.)

(I gave another round of + rep's for those with constructive criticism, thanks!)

If you aren't getting any bigger than a 22" monitor, then you don't need to spend lavish amounts of money on your video card. The GTX 260 and HD 4870 are at the ceiling of what you'll want. If you plan on getting a SLI chipset, the GTX 260 is your card; if you get a CrossFire chipset, the HD 4870 is your card.
