Well its been two reformat's and 2 RMA's later that my motherboard seems to function properly! After running Prime95 and OCCT for hours on stock speeds (all ram and voltage settings set manually) Everything seems stable so i overclocked!
I followed This guide and this one and right now im at 3.4 ghz @ 1.36 Vcore with 43c under load 21c idle and running a stress test ,but before i up the voltage more if it fails are there any tweaks i can make to my bios? EDIT- seems stable at 3.0 now little rough on 3.4, some pointers please?? attached are my current bios settings the ones on page 3 are my old settings.

Yeah, it definitely sounds like you didn't bump any voltages. Keep in mind that that quad core is a 65W, it's going to eat some power. Go up to 1.3V and see what you can accomplish after that, I'd warrant that you're fine.

You should be fine raising your vcore. Up until 1.4, you have nothing to worry about if your temps are still good. past that, you need to be careful. It just sounds like you arent giving it enough voltage.
EDIT: just saw your last post. You shouldn't have it on auto. Put it on manual, and set it to 1.4. See what happens from there.

just walk away...

Generally, there are a number of voltages that must be tweaked in order to effectively overclock the board/CPU. Leaving voltage settings on Auto won't always work.
Also, RAM timings. Have you done these things with your overclocks?

try bumping up the vcore ever so slightly, then u may have to work with the ram timing, thats what i had to do.

kk well ill give a higher voltage a go, and my ram timings are all set according to the sticks ( 4-4-4-12 @ 2.2v)

Those are very tight timings, you might want to loosen them to 5-5-5-15 to OC your Q6600, and then move them back when you're done.
