Alright so my PC and I were in a car accident a little while ago, and I got it home, pluged it all in, and tried to see if she booted... to my dismay, it just lit up and spun up for a split second then went dead.... so I reset the CMOS, purged the PSU caps, and got the same thing when I booted her up again to the same result. pulled the RAM to listen for an error code... got none, just another quick light show.... so I figured the PSU was toast, and bought another... 3 days later, it arrived, I installed it (using the original cables as they're still zipped all over the case), got the same results... let out a little curse, and then figured it may be the MoBo.... but I wasn't ready to buy another mobo just yet, as it guarantees me redoing my OCing, and they no longer make my MoBo (P5K Deluxe (DDR2 edition)) so I'm wondering if any of you guys have any suggestions on what to do... I run an enclosed waterloop, thats built into the case, so its somewhat difficult for me to just rip out parts, and test it outside the case and such... I think it could be a short somewhere... but I have no idea where.... or maybe its a power button issue...

ok build a new computer and tell us if it boots. just kidding.

no, in my honest opinion i think things probably came a little bit loose. try reseating the cpu/ram/video card and making sure all the plugs are secure since you say you used all the same plugs. you may just not be getting a video signal from the video card.

what exactly happened? i hope your computer doesn't need to go to the hospital

lol geeksquad? yeah, over my dead body... and a full rebuild? not so high on the to do list... we were on our way to a 300 man frag a thon... but I never made it... I headed back home after the accident... (a little spin out on the shoulder...) but the case was leaning against the back of the back seat and in the spin out it went for a good tumble...

i would've gone anyways, especially since they probably could've helped you fix your rig there. but, i guess that depends on how banged up you got.

always buckle up! (yes i actually buckle my computer in when i need to transport it, it fits quite snug actually lol)

it really could be anything, especially since you have water cooling. you did check for leaks right? and maybe a spill? or did you have it drained?

You had to have shook something loose. I would try reseating everything.

checked all the watercooling, its fine, reseated the proc, and video card... unplugged unneccessary things, opticals, spare HD, CCFLS, and still the same results...

I think it's some bad sector on the motherboard.
Thus, high chance being a motherboard problem.

alright, so latest update, I tried another mobo, my old P32E-sli mobo... which worked fine for all this same gear before, except I had dual 8800GTXs and a smaller OC... and I moved up to the P5K later... I got the freakish same result, so now I guess I have to rip it all apart piece by piece, and look for shorts in the wires and such... guess I got a weekend project.
