What's wrong with the system you got? You can make some upgrades there, but it's still a really good setup.

X2 I'd wait as you have a good machine as is, just pick up a new card, although that one will still play every game on the market at a decent rate.

In my opinion, I would build now. There are some really good prices these days. You will end up paying top dollar for the next generation, if you buy it as soon as it comes out. If you wait a few months or so, after the new generation comes out, you will get a better deal. So I would buy now, and upgrade later, after the prices have come down on the next generation.

I'd still wait since the new stuff is just around the corner. Then if the new stuff is too expensive, the stuff now will be cheaper. It's a win-win. Besides, your not going to get much better than what you had.

I agree, you can get a great pc for the money right now. I duno why you sold your other one as if you build one now, it's not gonna be much different than your previous one!

If you wait for nehalem it could be much more expensive and maybe not worth it price/performance wise, depends how long you can wait. On the other hand, current generation parts will come down in price more, so up to you!

You can build a super nice rig for around $800-1k. Don't play the waiting game go for it now.
