My theory is that either the board is cracked or there's a solder joint somewhere that can't stand physical the load of that cooler hanging off the side. Try supporting the cooler with something and see if it makes a difference..

I had the same problem with my old computer I had, comes to find out I didnt push all the snap in
__________________connectors all the way in on the heatink causing it to short out, but when the computer was flat it was ok b/c it wasnt putting a load on the heatsink to stay in place, but when it was upright it would cut off b/c it was trying to stay in place but couldnt forcing it to short circuit and cut off, so make sure the fan/heatsink is secured all the way in the motherboard.

ithas screw for the heatsink and i lapped the heatsink i have the tuniq 120 and its pretty big. its not metal inside the psu because the computer works while on its side. all the connection as far as wires are connected and im pretty sure the heatsink is flush with the cpu because its turning on for 1 second and the next it shuts off when standing up. ill try supporting it next thanks
