the p5q deluxe is a great board
its taken my quad to 465fsb and it could probably do more if i stretched it

i dont noe much about australia prices but u should prolly get a x38 chipset if u can as its the same as x48(x48 are cherry picked) and the x38 will save u some money so u could buy a 1000 PSU and have enough power for 2 4870x2 later if u need it

I know, I recommended he get the Corsair HX-1000W PSU, but the said no. (Even though there's is only an $80.00 difference between them, I'll try and convince him to get the 1000. )

no no. get the p5q-e Its pretty much the same, in fact it is the same, except the name, and the heat pipe that goes from the southbridge to the northbridge.

And you'll save $40~, and they both have really good solid capacitors and voltage regulators on them for good overclocking. just my opinion tho

If ya posted this in the Aussie OCN Club thread this question would've been answered in no time. I think that is a very solid build mate. There isn't a great deal you could upgrade for that. Would he have that system overclocked though?

get the p5q-deluxe as it has temp sensors everywhere like the ROG board and u can flash it into a ROG Bios and u get better OCing Capabilities!
