Arrow Is it a good deal ?

This local guy wants to sell me this:

-Case - Antec 900
-Power Supply - 600W OCZ GameXstream (sli/crossfire ready)
-Mother Board - Asus P5Q Pro ATX Crossfire ready (the drivers support crossfire so it will meld well with the video cards.)
-Processor - Intel Core 2 duo e8400 (3.0GHZ 1333MHZ FSB 6MB L2 Cache.)
-Ram -Corsair XMS2 PC6400 - 800MHZ this ram has TIGHT timings so will me quick as all heck with 4-4-4-12. (only listing 2 GB.)
-Video Card - Diamond Radeon 4850 ONLY 512MB ram, not the 1GB version as it will send you're quote past 1200$.
-Hitachi Dekstar 750GB SATA 2 Drive with 32MB buffer.
-LG dvd burner.

The total for that, fully assembled would come to 1150. (im not charging tax on that, so if you're not paying cash I would have to add 15%.), this price doesnt include an OS, so bear in mind either you could buy one off me for about half the price of best buy, or you can buy your own legitimate one from best buy and have me install it. OR you can go ahead and pirate one onto you're computer YOURSELF, I will not install a pirated version of anything on your computer for you, but I can supply you with a DVD with all the latest drivers for your items to make sure that you don't have to go searching and installing the os yourself will be a breeze. I will obviously set up your ram timings and everything else in the bios no problem so all that would be left for you to do is install VIsta/XP and then all the drivers off the dvd restart and you're ready for action.

My prices for OS's are as follows -
Windows Vista Home Premium - 180$ ontop of price (you get your DVD and your liscence key.) up to you whether or not you go for 32bit or 64Bit (250+tax at bestbuy = 290$ so you save 110 here.)
Windows XP Home - 130$ ontop of price (again you get the original DVD and the liscence on the back of you're computer.) (279.99 at best buy + tax = 320.00 save 190 here.)

Do you think it's a good deal, would i be able to get a better price if i would do it myself.
Thank you for the answers !

Seems a bit overpriced if you ask me, I think if you would assemble it yourself you could save like at least $300. Just doing an estimate, board is about $120, cpu around $200, Hd like $100, gfx $150-$200, ram is like $50, psu is $69.99, case is about $120-150 so a rough total is $800 or so.

If i take advantage of all the sales and mail in rebates on newegg, i could build that system for $732.

To build that yourself would cost $725 to $775 dollars depending on what deals and sales are going on at the time.

The guy is making about $390+ profit on you. Because he isn't putting any software on it, a computer like that takes about 2 hours to put together. (or less if you are experianced) So, either he is getting paid by you $200 an hour, or he includes one hell of a warrently with the PC.

Hmm, if you figure he needs to make some profit, I wouldn't pay more than $850 for that system.

If you're building it yourself, yes the same build that you listed with E8600 and HD4870 comes out to be about $1030 at newegg.

Not really using directcanada (I buy most of my stuff from here) I was able to get your exact pc priced out.

mobo $149.10 http://www.directcanada.com/products...nufacture=ASUS

processor $188.99 http://www.directcanada.com/products...ufacture=INTEL

ram $32.07 after mir http://www.directcanada.com/products...acture=CORSAIR

HD $99.88 http://www.directcanada.com/products...acture=HITACHI

vid card $170.64 after mir http://www.directcanada.com/products...LTIMEDIA%20INC.

case $111.30 http://www.directcanada.com/products...ufacture=ANTEC

psu $69.02 http://www.directcanada.com/products...anufacture=OCZ

So that totals to $822.52 CAD after MIR
