taskbar
The links in my task bar are gone...Windows media player, firefox, etc. Anyone know how to get them back?

Which ones, like the quicklaunch icons or the whole prgram folder from the start menu? Either way they are pretty easy to get back, they are just shortcuts. The easiest way to me anyway is to right-click and drag the actual .exe for each program and choose "create shortcut here". Its a pretty simple process. You might wanna figure out where they went though so it doesn't happen again.

Did you maybe turn it off? Right click on the start menu and go toolbars and see if maybe it got turned off. I accidently turned off my desktop icons before and then got pissed cause I thought someone deleted all my shortcuts.

Right click on the taskbar, go to toolbars, then click Quick launch.
