Default Intel Multimedia Rig... Suggestions Needed Plz

Well I am just about finished with my gaming rig and am looking to the future and I decided I wanted to do a multimedia rig. Basically I want to be able to be able to watch movies, tv, and video games on a projector, as well as be able to play music. obviously i want to be able to do video editing, and possibly get some 3d animation going to. i still need to choose a sound card, and this is still a ways off from me building, but any comments and suggestions are welcomed.

IF you got dough, for a soundcard I say Creativ X-Fi, its 48 times as powerful as the Audigy 4 which is amazing and has all the latest gizmos. For video, an R520 based GPU would ideal as they have built in H.264 decoding for all the new HD-DVDs and BLU-RAY's im sure you are gonna wanna watch on that shiny new system. Since this is already close to a grand I suggest a P4 3.0 with HT as your CPU, however if you got the money, a Pentium D would serve nicely (if you're REALLY bleeding money, a Pentium D EE with dual core AND HT for 4 threaded madness ) and any decent mobo to handle whatever CPU you get. Since this is a multimedia system, you might wanna look at SFF systems too, whats your approximate budget?

Well if you look I am looking to use a mATX case since I want to keep it small and compact. I am not sure what mobos are good for such a system and I am new intel processors so if you could post links it would be very helpful. I am looking to spend about 2000, but like I said this comp will be in the works for a few months, since I liketo do a lot of research before I buy anything. Also I am concerned that the PSU in the case is to weak, but I could mod the case to fit something else. =)

Get An X-Fi, an X850xt or x900 when they come out, A Hauppauge PVR 500 MCE tv tuner, a Asus micro Atx motherboard, a x2 3800 and to top it all of Windows Xp Media Center Edition 2005 <-- Media center is really awesome for tv and dvds and music

I'd say an even bigger hdd. 400GB hdd aren't that expensive and would hold a crap load!

The Hauppauge PVR 500 MCE TV Tuner is really cool... definitely gonna add one in. And I guess this would work for my gfx card but it is pricey.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102519

Gonna look into the X-Fi... looks like they will run from 180-400 bucks depending on the model so I will see how my budget works out. And I tihnk 150-200 gbs will do the trick for now. reps for all. keep the ideas a flowin.

for a harddrive, i reccomend this

Hard Drive: http://www.ncix.com/products/index.p...acture=Seagate
SEAGATE BARRACUDA 7200.8 400GB SATA W/ NCQ 7200RPM 8MB 8.5MS ROHS HARD DRIVE 5YEARS MFR WARRANTY
$360.47 CAD

its cheap, and thats 360 canadian probably a lot less in american, its 400 gigs and its speeds are SUPPOSED to rival those of the raptors.. lol i think thats just marketing but ill check some benchies for ya later on or u could check the benchies..

Only problem is the mobo I picked out doesnt have SATA and I don't recall seeing another mATX w/ SATA. Plus I found it at newwgg for 250 (american) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822148063 but i think they have an IDE ATA100 (mobo is ATA133) so I will look around.

And some benchies from Tom's Hardware:

And other article that was good too:
