if you are going P45, get the Asus P5Q. It is $10 cheaper I think too.

For animation you'll want the ram, fast cpu for rendering (quad core). I don't see a need for a particularly fast video card. Just don't stick with integrated. Spend $50 on something, like a 8600GT or better.

heres one that hits it dead on the nail, i threw in a 45nm quad instead of a q6600 you want it to run cooler plus if hes not interested in the one i picked just go with a q9300 or q8200 you just want a 45nm quad less heat = good
