Hi there,

im a new member and new to all this so be gentle!

Just completed my first new build and all seems well. One problem seems to be no sign of CPU LEVEL UP in AI suite? Anyone had same problem or any ideas? Have reinstalled from bundled software but still not showing.

asus rampage extreme X48
Intel Q9650
4 gb ddr3 xms3 1600mhz corsair
sapphire 4870X2
Vista 64 home premium

Unsure what a cpu level up is. Do multiplier increase or a FSB increase

Welcome to the forums.

Using the bios is much better than AI Suite. Read the intel overclocking link in my sig, and familiarize yourself with the terms. Read some other guides that talk about how to overclock using your bios.

You don't have much of any level to go up to!

In any case you don't want to overclock from software, but from the BIOS.

Finally, fill in your system specs.

the AI level up is bad for your cpu...i tried it when i got my Maximus Formula and it just gives way too much vcore...so don`t use that.
just change it all yourself in the bios and let your cpu live longer

try updating your bios

i had the same problem with my striker 2 nse and a q6600
updated bios and worked fine


but still i would not use this feature
overclocking manually is much safer on your cpu
