Default Tck.......Tck..........Tck on Restart?

I had posted about this before with no real help so Ill try on more time. Ok heres the problem, when I go to restart windows it goes through the normal shutdown process fine, but when trying to restart I just get a steady Tck.......Tck..........Tck Sound from the Internal speaker. So far Ive tried swapping out the PSU, Disconnecting the HD and CD before restart, and resetting and updating BIOS all to no avail. If anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hmm, thats kind of interesting....so after it shuts down, it will not post, eh? Not sure what it is, but since you tried all of those things, I would get a new cmos battery..that should help. Replacing the battery is not hard at all, just pop out the one of the mobo and take it to radioshack to get one just like it(don't worry, they have it) and then try with that installed..it might just be that the battery is weak. Not sure what else it really could be, but I would first try that.

And, is this motherboard new, or have you had it for a while and it's recently just started doing this?

And I'm pretty sure that tick your hearing is not the speaker but you HDD

So, when you click, Star>Shut Down>Restart it does this? What if you shut down your computer, then turn it back on again?

My computer will turn on fine if I turn it off, and then turn it back on. But if I hit the reset button or click restart from the shut down menu it won’t post, so I was wondering if we were having the same problem.

Ticking def comes from the speaker I have removed hard drive from case just to ensure that it wasnt the hard drive. Tck sound continued that what i thought I was too, and the mobo is only about 2-3 weeks old its a brand new build. Thanks
