Default Dell temperature monitor

Not sure if this is a mobo or CPU issue, so I am putting this in the general section.

My Brother in law had an older Dell he was going to give his dad, but he was having all kinds of problems with it. Being the good in-law, I said I would fix it.
Basically it had so much spyware, adware, bloatware and such (no viruses luckily) that is just crawled and errors all the time. Easy fix though, I just got all their pics off and then re-formated.
Got it all running fine with XP Pro now, and was going to run the graphical CPU folding program on it since he will leave it on all the time. I want to check the temps first, and that is the problem.
I have tried Speedfan, Coretemp (says not supported), real temp (not supported) and Everest (only the HDD temp shows up).
Is there any other software out that I can try or that anybody has had luck with? Or does this Dell MoBo or CPU just not support any temp monitoring program?

It is a Dell 3100
MoBo: Dell 0JC474 (i915P/i915G chipset)
CPU: Intel P4 521

Found a reference to a Dell BIOS "blocking" the sensor - don't know if that would apply?

I don't think the old P4s have user-readable sensors. In any case, it's a Dell, worrying about temperatures seems kind of pointless since you aren't going to overclock it.

OOh, I forgot about that. That was the first monitoring program I had found. I will give that a try.

edit: Well, it appears no Dell Deminsions are supported.

Guess it just is not ment to be.
Error10, I am wanting to know the temp since the computer will be put inside and enclosed desk (I know, but hey, it is my in-laws, what can I do) so I was going to monitor it to make sure it was not getting to hot.

It'll throttle down if it gets too hot. The P4s at least do that.

Speedfan worked on my dimension 3000, but it won't work for you...

Hmm..not sure what else there is to do.

They probably blocked the sensors from the bios.
