I was wondering what you guys thought about what to upgrade next in my rig. I was thinking of maybe selling this and making the jump the phenom II or the core i7. If i went phenom II i could keep everything except my mobo and processor. I know it is off topic, but I also have a 360 i am willing to sell to help offset some of the cost if anyone is interested, lol. One last question is there anything coming in the near future that would be worth waiting for?

The only upcoming thing really is AM3 processors but even then, they will be backwards compatible with a few AM2+ mobo's

If you care about horsepower and intend to OC at all you should probably go i7. The only people I could in good conscience recommend Phenom 2 to are those who already own AM2(+) boards and have a lower end Phenom 1. i7 is the big thing that most people, me included, were waiting for to upgrade. So if you wanna upgrade in the next 12 months now is about as good of a time as any. Its just a matter of if you can afford it at this point. And as for videocards... never let a card hold back a new system upgrade. You could easily live off your 4850 until the next round of cards, or toss in another for Crossfire.

Thanks for all the replys. I am really starting to consider the i7. If i were to sell my mobo, cpu, and ram, about how much could i expect to get. Also, what would be the best way to sell it?

Personally, I'd just swap the E7300 for a C2Q quad-core and upgrade the HD4850 to a HD4870.
Then I'd save the rest until Intel and AMD release their next new chip. Then I'd consider building a new rig.
