So I was thinking of a using a frige to ...
![]() seriously though, The way my desk is setup my computer pulls air directly in from the window if the window it open. Now currently it's about -5C outside and my core temperatures are down to 7C on idle, due to Canadian weather, -30+ C weather in the next few weeks wouldn't be a suprise. So I'm curious. is there anything unsafe about chilling my entire case down to sub-zero? I know with just cooling the CPU there's condensation but this shouldn't happen to me should it?

All I can think of is possible condensation on the outside of the case.

You'll have to worry about condensation mostly. I'm not an expert on sub-zero cooling though, so I can't help you much.

If the ambient case temps get too far below 0, you probably should start worrying about the the metal parts in your system becoming brittle. (Not that you would consider such extremes...)

I've had a piece of ducting sucking air from outside my shed and into my rig for 6 months straight, the only thing of note was the hoovering and implosion of a beetle, which some mesh fixed.

The heat from the PC will cause the Fridge to overwork and burn out. Trust me.....
