Here is my input.
If you want the excel sheet for links, PM me an e-mail address. ![]() EDIT: Sorry this took so long, Internet quit working, had to call Comcast...it's Craptastic!! The 4830 Build comes in way under budget, you See for yourself if it's a Good Thing or Not. The GTX260 Build After MIR comes in $3 over budget. The e5200 OC's like a dream and the 260 will add the eye candy that anyone would like.

1.Change it to a HD4850 after cutting down to a E5200.
__________________2.E7300 to E5200. 3.what is with that DVD Drive. It can't even burn DVDs.... Add around $5 to get a DVD burner. Did he specifically want that case? Because a Antec300 or CM590 will be a whole lot better for OCing.

Yes, i originally had a much cheaper case. He specifically told me he was willing to pay extra for a full tower, and that he wanted lots of lights. He picked out that case on his own.

For future reference, how do i delete a post? I accidently double posted, but i have a new question so i edited over double post with my new question.
Should this whole thread of been posted in the "intell build logs" subforum instead of "intel-general"?

I heard bad stores about OCZ PSUs.. but I'm not sure. Just my 2 cents you could always go down to E2200 (which isn't much worse) and a cheaper mobo and get a 4870

1. That Sunbeam case doesn't look all that great. For one thing, it's got a bunch of small 80mm fans that have lower airflow and higher noise levels than 120mm fans. If he really wants a full tower, he should check his local Best Buy for a ~$50 Rocketfish case before resorting to newegg.
2. I'd recommend a Xigmatek HDT-S1283 cpu cooler because it's fairly cheap and is literally among the top 5 air coolers at the moment. Make sure to get some Arctic Silver 7 or MX2 compound to go along with it. 3. Don't get a 500gb Seagate hard drive. I just now saw a thread concerning numerous failures of Seagate drives. The Samsung is probably fine, Western Digital is also a good choice. 4. Stick with the E5200 since you can simply overclock it like mad with the Xigmatek and AS7/MX2. 5. Ask your friend what kind of games he plans on playing. If he's not going to play Crysis or Crysis Warhead, an HD 4830 will be enough to handle just about any other game at near-max settings right now. But get an HD 4850 if it's within the budget.
