Default My first build in process

Well everyone , thanks to all of you and a friend from work (lohoutlaw) ive decided to build my first system , which of course will be tweaked with all of your input taken into consideration and with appreciation.
My case is arriving tommorow
http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=CS51WBK&cat=CAS
and I just purchased my vid card
http://www.bfgtech.com/6800GTOC.html
which im using in my existing system while I wait for my other vid card to be fixed.
I also already have a 200 gig Seagate HD
I will install a fan controller capable of monitoring cpu and case temps
Im thinking of this MB
http://www.superwarehouse.com/p.cfm?...C-WD2261280738 .I have a 2.6 p4 processor that I will use at first untill I can convince my wife that need faster.
Im undecided if I will go Sound Blaster or Turtle beach for the sound card.
I didnt feel it was necessary to list choices for my DVD RW drive or any other drive
I am also going to go with 2 gigs of ram, which would be best ?
how do my choices sound so far and any additions that you can think of or suggestions to this list would be apreciated.

Congrats on your first build. If you did and up getting 2 gigs of ram that is great and i would recommend getting pc 3200 and get 2 1 gig sticks. On the other hand your proccessor isnt really powerfull enouph for that graphics card so you wont get the full potential outta the system till you convince your wife your computer is too slow.

For the ram look for OCZ, G.Skill, or Corsair are the three brands I trust most, mainly OCZ as you can see by my PSU but I have Corsair valueram (46 bucks for 512MB of DDR2 533!) and its very nice, OC to 610MHz stock timings! :P so i say any of those three brands, twin 1GB sticks, if intel then DDR2 533 or 667 if your mobo supports it or if you go AMD then DDR400 is all you can use unless you're into overclocking a ton. :P WELCOME TO THE SITE MAN!
