I agree. I wish there were more tests done with charts and numbers to show the difference DDR3 and a corei7 has over the older technology. I feel like the hardware makers may not want that info to come to light if it shows the change is minimal.

yes thats correct. However I assume the processor, RAM and GPU make much more of a difference than the motherboard itself. Itulod could you possible boot up crysis with one GTX280 and then 2 cards and let me know what the FPS were? I'd be interested to see your improvement.

to measure FPS, use FRAPS.

and don't upgrade your CPU or mobo.. they're fine- don't waste so much money when you won't get more fps.

If you have the money to spend get another GTX 280 and you will have a rig that whoops the gtx 295. generally >3Ghz = no bottleneck

I think this is one thing many fail to understand.. going i7 won't get you more FPS.

I was never thinking of upgrading, for some reason people thought thats why I was asking. I just built my rig last week. I wanted to make sure I wasn't wasting my money if I purchased another GTX280. 300 on newegg is a good deal. I remember I bought a 8600 gt for 500 bones in 2005. I still can't believe it.
