If your gonna be doing video editing and gaming, you will need a few HDD's i suggest maybe 2 x Raptor 10,000 RPM HDD's in RAID 0 and maybe 2x 250 HDD's for your video part. Just choose what sizes you deem to be necassary.

My suggestion (depending on avaliable funds) is to get 3x 74GB 10,000 WD Raptors.

If you get a decent board then you will have NCQ hard drive support so that will improve the speed of your Raptors.

The good thing about getting 3 of them is that then you can set them up for RAID 5

RAID 5 = Block Interleaved Distributed Parity: This version of RAID supports stripping at the byte level and also supports error correction. This gives good performance and mirroring support.

If you do actually have a huge sum of money then if you are after extreme video editing and rendering then get a NVIDIA Quadro 540 or equivalent

If you can afford 2x 7800GTX, Go with a FX-57. =)

ok well i havent madea list for my amd setup but i have written down some suggestions,i will do some reasearch on all of it, but if i do go with amd ill go with the amd 64 FX-57,and 2x XFX 7800GTX's ARE going into my rig no doubts about that,my current rig isnt anything special, intel 3.06GHz on an unknown asus mobo that has ZERO oc capabilities with an annoying Intel Chipset w/ intel graphics accelerator that i could use to wipe my a$$ with, when i play CS i have to be really careful when playing b/c if i get into a heated death match with gunsa-blazin it just slowsdown and i cant tell one thing from the next, iwant to play more graphical games but my current setup is just useless and i dont want a prebuilt b/c those are just way to costly, plus i love building things so it works out nicely!
