![]() Your rig would be a good starting point for overclocking, however there are several problems with it. First of all your motherboard is an Intel motherboard, these boards can not be overclocked by the BIOS, software has to be used to overclock the board, this limits the amount the board can be overclocked. A good piece of software (if it supports your board) is Clockgen www.cpuid.com this will allow you to raise the FSB speed thus increasing the clock speed. Secondly your memory is only PC2100 (266MHz) this will limit the amount your system can be overclocked. The 266MHz RAM is designed to run with a FSB of 533MHz, if the FSB goes above that value the memory will run above its rated speed, as its oldish memory it will not run much faster above its rated speeds and this will hinder your overclocking to a degree.

Take heed, and be wary, with what you do when overclocking. Fold for team 37726 Please Keep Spelling And Grammar To An Acceptable Standard
