Ok, so I've had this rig since September. I tried lots of different things but never could get it stable past 3.8. I made all kinds of voltage changes but never had any luck. Well earlier today I had that
moment and realized I never messed with the multiplier. So today, I dropped it from 9 to 8.5 and set the fsb to 1883. I did 15-minute Prime runs to get the voltage tuned slightly. It's set at 1.3625 in BIOS, 1.33 v-drop, and 1.30 v-droop. North bridge is at 1.42. It passed a 2-hour OCCT run perfectly stable, but I do plan on running Prime all night just to be sure. The temps are very nice also. Room ambient - 70F, Idle - 35C, Load on OCCT run reached 56C (Temps from RealTemp). BTW, I haven't updated the rig recently. It's sitting on an HSPC Tech Station instead of the 300 and the cpu cooler is a Cooler Master Gemini II S. Not bad for the C0 I guess. Just wanted to share my good news with everyone!!!

That's pretty nice for a C0. I'll keep in mind to lower the multi on mine as well, thanks.

My C0 had trouble hitting 3.9
It had a VID of 1.225, I'm not sure where that ranges. Congrats on the OC, now keep it going!I'm in the process of taking my Q9550 further, she passed 4.048 overnight (~9 hours) with 1.32V under load

I never understood VID... and how it relates to overclock and volts...

It's the assigned voltage for a chip to run at stock. Theoretically, the less volts it takes to run stock, the higher you can overclock with similar or lower voltages than higher VID chips. I don't feel that it has much merit, but it also makes a bit of sense.

Doesn't VID change? If I run my computer stock, the vid is lower than when i run it OCed...
Or maybe it doesn't... it's at 1.237

There have been boards that simply report altered VIDs in order to over-volt the processor. Typically, it's a constant value. This isn't exactly true with older versions of Coretemp in combination with EIST/C1E. Under those circumstances, you would get much lower readings.

Update:
I got home from work and checked Prime. One thread crashed at 10 minutes and the other was running fine after 6 hours. I just chalked it up to a fluke. I reran Prime and the same thread crashed after 15 minutes. I bumped up the voltage from 1.3625 to 1.36875 and started up Prime again. I thought I finally had it nailed, but no. The same thread crashed at just under 1h 30m. I'm thinking one more bump should fix it.
